Rhythms

Today was the 1st Wednesday of the school year, which means that they boys were home. As we all had had a very busy day yesterday, today was rather lazy & cozy day, and anyway it rained almost all day. It's really turning into autumn weather over here, not that I will complain. It's just that I have to adapt to this change of the seasons, in addition to the new rhythm of everyday & every week, that is school week rhythm. By 07pm, I checked the thermometer that was on the balcony & it was 13°C. (and 18,5°C in the kitchen, as a comparison, even though it would have been warmer there !) Anyway. I'll probably install my few autumn decorations tomorrow, it just feels right. This is a latte I made this afternoon, with (organic) milk I shaked in a plastic container, hermetically closed, which provided me with a thick & yummy foam ... mmm

I probably didn't do as much as I had planned to do today, but nevermind, at least I had a lazy kind of day, even if a day always includes washing the dishes, forever tidying after the boys, etc etc ... But, in the meantime, I sharpened their pencils ...Raise your hand if you love You've Got Mail !!! LOL

I also covered a plain grey folder of mine, with polka dot wrapping paper + plastic (I know, not very ecological, I admitt, but necessary to protect both the paper & the folder) I will use this folder as Homemaking Folder, if you see what I mean. Not really a Home Management folder, but a place to gather seasonal recipes, snail mail addresses, seasonal crafts etc etc ... I wrote with my most beautiful fountain pen (and my most precise handwriting !) & looked for my old fashioned school labels, and named the folder "Cozy Homemaking Book" (even though it's not a book, I know), because I though the name was attractive (to me !!) and because it matches my blog name too. I'll be filling it along the way but I hope to start tonight & to do a bit tomorrow. What else did we do today ? Ah yes, popcorn !! When we're in Disney, P often smells the yummy scent of fresh popcorn & I always tell him that I'll be doing some for him at home ... so that's what I did this afternoon. U enjoyed it a lot too ! I packed the leftovers in a cello bag for Chris. (there is a bit of caster sugar sprinkled on them) What else ? Uh, we ate the very first (organic) grapes of the season, and they were delicious ! Even U asked to eat some. P will never, on the contrary. He's a bit our picky eater. U would eat almost all fruits, like grown ups. Oh well, kids ... they're all different ! And we're all subject to change when we grow up, anyway ! OK, better go now. I want to do a bit of offline things before going to bed, and anyway, Chris needs the laptop to work. I hope you all had a great middle of the week ! :) Big hugs OXOXOX

  1. Hi Sonia! That's right, there's no school on Wednesdays. We have minimum days on Wednesdays- kids go home at 12:30 but teachers stay. It's a chance for them to plan and prepare. The bouquet of colored pencils is pretty! (((Hugz)))

  3. Ciao Sonia, even if I don't drink milk, your pic looks yummy! ;) May I ask you a lil thing about Paris? My parents would like to have a lil trip in the most romantic city of the World ;) during fall. Do you think it's a good period to visit Paris? I was there only once, in April.. I would love to join them coz Zeno's never been to Paris before, but we should look out for the cheepest period then *blush* Hugs & happy day!! :)
