Love.Everywhere

Goodness, I hadn't realized I hadn't blogged for the last two days. I guess days are too busy to stop by the computer !
On Wednesday it was my mom's birthday & she had a very happy one with us, she opened her present loot for breakfast & I baked the heart shaped buttery/strawberry jam-y biscuits & we had them as dinner. (see photo up above) The same evening, I managed to squeeze a little craft time to work on the house project. On Thursday (yesterday), U went on a day trip to the farm. They baked bread in the afternoon & brought a little one home. We all had a slice of it with butter & salt with herbs. Yum Poor little thing vomited in the bus on the way to the farm, but two other kids did too. :( As planned, Chris & I went out to the restaurant after the boys went to bed. We had one awesome time, it gets so rare & precious to be out only the two of us ... but I know most of you reading this hear me, right ?!
Today, Friday, I had an appointment at the dentist's at 09.30am, but at almost 10pm, he phoned to say he'd be 50mn late. I couldn't wait so I postponed to Oct. 10th. We went shopping for food after that, and I went jogging right before going to grab the boys at school, at 11.25am. What a morning ! Then, after lunch, and after bringing them back to school, I went to the hairdresser's ... and spent too much time to my own taste there ... note to self : never go back on a Friday afternoon, but rather a Tuesday morning ... Anyway ... I have a new color & a new hairdo ... kind of goldy-coppery-light blond color. And last but not least ... when I came back home, just before going to grab the boys again, I checked my snail mailbox, and found love in the mail ... so much love that I almost fell from my chair when I opened the parcel to this ...Love.Everywhere ... I tell you. Thanks from the bottom of my heart, my friend !! (it came with stamps for the boys, they haven't seen them yet but are going to be so excited about them ! Thanks so much for them sweetie !)
I wish you all a great weekend ahead. I hope we'll stay at home, we have so many crafty things to do with my mom, and we hadn't had much time to work on them since she's been here, and she'll leave on Tuesday, so better hurry ! OXOXO Big hugs to all, and thanks for visiting !!

  4. Hello!! just a quick stop....Miss Fiona is waking up, the boys are having snack and I'm exhausted today! Had to say hello though...hope you got my email thanking you for the wonderful pressies! We really appreciated them!
Love the cookies and really enjoyed your previous post about being eco-friendly. We use vinegar as a fabric softener and it works really well and takes care of the soap residue on clothes. I've been able to find a locally made laundry soap so we have been able to get rid of the detergent. (This is important as my skin always reacts to detergent)
And don't you just love microfiber cloths??! We love them :)
Ok...must fly but hope you are all well :) xoxo

  5. Hello Sonia, I love your red hair, it's one of my favorite colors. It suits you & you must enjoy shorter hair. I always forgot to write that I love your fairy sitting on a mushroom on your welcome page. It's so cute. I miss your graphics & I'm sure I'm not the only one. Have a fabulous weekend, hugs

  6. Hey Sonia, hope your little man is feeling better and it was just a touch of travel sickness and nothing more, poor little guy. Being sick can scare them when they are so young.

I really love your embroidery little washing line - could this piece be any cuter? I dont think so, wow. I love your new hair colour, very cute also.

Of course I the heart shaped jamy cookies are wonderful, I can almost taste them, yum yum.

Hope you're having a wonderful time with your mum here.

  7. Hi Sonia,
Those cookies look SO yummy and I love the filled ones the best - but then again, I haven't met a cookie that I didn't like, lol. I like your new hair color. Very pretty and I agree with Darylynn, it goes well with your blue eyes.

I know how it goes about having to wait to see the doctor (or in your case the dentist). A few months ago Michael I were waiting to see the doctor and the entire appointment (including waiting to see anyone) took almost 3 hours! I couldn't believe it...

Have a great rest of the weekend! Huggles
