Lots Done Today !

It was back to school for both the boys & we had no tear, no cry. P was happy to find his friends again, but U really didn't care. (he always prefers to play with older kids) P is now in CP (Cours Préparatoire = 1st Grade in the US) so I stayed with him until I had to leave. Chris (who had taken this day off) was with U, and once I left P, I went to U's class & they were still there. There was a big mess, because before summer vacations, it was planned that a new class would be created, because there should have been almost a dozen new pupils. But unexpected moves made that it didn't happen, and the opening of the new class didn't happen neither ! So instead of 19 pupils (as it should have been this year in U's class), there will be 30 pupils in U's class ! Frankly NOT the same ! :( I'm not really happy about that, but nobody can do a thing, and hopefully I'll be teaching him extra things at home anyway. (U is in Moyenne Section = Preschool in the US)
So, once Chris & I left U's school too, we went home & shortly after left again to have breakfast in Starbucks. It was 09.30am (a bit late for breakfast but ...) Mmmm ... that was so nice to be only him & me, in a café ! (that never happens) Then we went to the health store & went back home. After grabbing the boys at school, we had lunch ... radish sprouted seeds on a slice of fresh bread + butter & salt ... Btw, does anyone (reading this) regularly eat sprouted seeds ?We plan to make our own seeds sprout once we'll have moved back to the south, and will be settled for good. Goodness, radish sprouted seeds are even stronger than fully grown radishes ! My fav. seed is sunflower seed, but we often eat alfalfa, arugula, chickpea, fenugreek, lentil ...
Then I finished to sew a card I sent to a friend on the arrival of her baby. After we brough the boys back to school, we went to the (regular) supermarket for the extra things we needed. On the way to the supermarket, the wind was blowing leaves everywhere. Until I was leaves and something else whirling ... a bank note. Yes, a bank note, and not a small one, a 50 euros one (approx. U$ 72 or £ 40) I told Chris (thinking it was a stupid paper advertisement) Chris ran a bit after it & put his foot on, put it in his pocket & we walked to the supermarket. I have to add that noone was around when this happened, nobody lost this bank note right in front of us, it was whirling among tree leaves ... amazing ! We did our shopping & paid with it ! I'm sorry for the person who lost it, but frankly, there is no name on bank note ! (I hope I'm not shocking anyone !) This is the kind of things that NEVER happens to us, so this was pretty amazing ! LOL After the shopping, Chris made Buttercup Squash (Cucurbita Maxima) soup. (we had bought an organic one this morning). It was delicious ! And totally feeling like autumn, because anyway the weather here is really autumnal. I should have gone jogging after school this late afternoon, but it started to pour, so I didn't go & instead I ironed to the very bottom of my "to-be-ironed-clothes" basket. My back aches, but for today I'm up to date with laundry ! Great !
Tomorrow is Wednesday & the boys don't have school, as usual. We'll stay home, read books, play a lot, and I plan to organize a lot, and for instance save all my July & August photos, and do a lot of things like that, online but most of all, offline. I have so much to go through, like everyone ! LOL
OK, better go ... but I couldn't leave without wishing my friend Julie a very very happy birthday !! :) I hope you have a fabulous one, sweetie !
Big hugs to all OXOXO and oh, HAPPY SEPTEMBER TO ALL ! OXOXO

  5. Yes 30 children is too many. That's what we normally have but this year I have only 23 and it's lovely. Good job actually as there's a lot of tricky children!
What luck with the money, if there was no one around and it wasn't in a wallet or anything, I think it's perfectly ok to pocket it!
Hope you managed to get lots done today.
