At Home Sunday

Sorry I didn't get to double post on Friday & didn't even get to post yesterday ... oops ... I shouldn't plan too much, because sometimes I simply can't.
So the weather is still gloriously sunny, even though we're getting an icy wind ... brrr ... sun is good for the soul, even it's cold outside. It's just that it feels a bit early to be that cold. But when you're in the sun, it's warm enough.

We stayed at home yesterday morning, and went to Disneyland in the afternoon. Had tons of fun there, even if there were lots of people. (sun = lots of Parisian/regional people in Disney)I managed to squeeze some craft on Friday & Saturday ... I'm making baby steps with my last WIP (WIP = work in progress) ...I'm loving working on it, but boy it's taking ages !! Phew !
We also picked P's new glasses at the optician. He's very happy with them & they fit his face so well.

Today, Sunday, we stayed home too. The three guys went shopping for bread this morning, in the icy wind, but we stayed home the rest of the day. I baked (with my honey) chopped hazelnuts + chocolate chips muffins, that we'll have for breakfast the next few mornings, specially that my mom will arrive on Tuesday & will stay for a week ... I also baked (also with my honey) Pigs in a Blanket (aka sausage rolls) ... as usual I "painted" the top with egg yolk & sprinkled with Herbes de Provence (mix of dried herbs), which we all had for lunch. We played a lot with the boys ... Of course a bit of housework got done, specially ironing ... hopefully it's a pleasure to iron when the sun shines & when it's warm enough to have the door open.Yeah, yeah, I know ... I looooove to sublime the everyday life ... (she said with a weird & posh voice ... ah ah) LOL I also got to tidy some things up in the boys' bedroom, which had been on my to-do list for a while now & that I'm happy to have done. Nothing very important, but it was always at the bottom of my to-do lists so it never got done ...
OK, Sunday is not over ... and I still have little things to do ... so I'll wish you all a great end of the weekend, and hope you'll have a great start to the new week tomorrow !! Big hugs XOXOX

PS : I'm glad you enjoyed the "Because" post, it'd been fun to make & apparently fun for you to read ! Feel free to use the idea if you're lacking inspiration ... or time ! *Ü*

  3. we had a sunny weekend too Sonia, so spent most of yesterday in the garden. Bill's sister and her hubby came round to see Humbug, so it was pretty busy. Despite that, I too did ironing (it really is never ending isn't it?!)

finally got my GP appointment book through. I've added a ribbon page marker and put it somewhere that a little girl can't reach. ha ha ha!

ooh! it's raining! ha! British weather. Nothing like it!

well, must go. It's time for her ladyship to get up from her nap. Have a lovely day, and a great start to the week. I have posted now. xx

  4. The weather is wonderfully hot and sunny here too. One would not think it is actually Autumn, although my husband is constantly telling me there is more and more snow showing on D'Olmes mountains. Such a beautiful sight.

I have been so off line lately as well. I have so much to catch up with, that it is silly. I will never be able to do it. With the husband gone for 7 days straight, it is not really helping :/ And I am getting so lonely when he is not around...... (but the kidlets are great company :))

Ah and you do ironing?? Haha, I avoid it. I try to do the dryer and fold asap. Usually I get away with it. But then, I do 2 to 3 load s of laundry each day (!!) I really should get myself a life....

Looking forward to seeing your "house" progress. Keep checking your flickr to see what is "happening :)

I have been developing softies lately, moreso in my head than anywhere else, but it is fun.
I love how I am more of a crafter now. But I am pretty sure I will be going back to painting and drawing soon. I do miss my art journals. But truth is that I can not do both at the same time. My brain just malfunctions.

Wishing you all a wonderful time with your mum!!

Much love! Annax and family xxxx

  5. Happy Fall Sonia! I hope you get some extra sunny days this week. I imagine how happy you are with your mom visiting for a week. I read somewhere that it was pretty chilly in Paris, I hope it warms up again. Have a great day, hugs
