Life Is Good

In less than two weeks the boys will be back at school. (Sept. 02nd) How much I'm going to miss them all day long at home, even though they often get on my nerves ! (two boys, at home ... yeah, it's certainly fun !!) But we play very often all together, even though I do my best to let them play alone, without me.
Life is good ... these photos show them playing on the table or on the carpet, while listening to Django Reinhardt jazz music...Yesterday I started making a little project for me (yes, for me), for the coming seasons. I had the idea two days ago (probaby inspired more or less by the Gooseberry Patch pile of books laying on the table, though it's not a project of the books) of sewing wrist warmers with a brown-ish/gingerbread-ish colored polar fleece I had, embellished with white rickrack & white buttons ... to make a kind of holiday oriented, gingerbread inspired pair of wrist warmers ... what do you think ? In the mood for the cold seasons ?!They're so warm, and will be very useful when it'll start to get chiller, but not enough to start turning the heat on in the appartment. Are you longing for this ? It's not really summer anymore here, around Paris, even though we're in the middle of summer. It feels already like autumn, a bit like last year but less rainy maybe. But oh so grey & mild. Hardly sunny. Oh well, I got used to that kind of weather, and actually it'll be harder for me to get used again to the heat of the south. (we'll be moving back to the south next summer for the ones who didn't know)
So, that's our life while it's still vacations ... lots of games & little nothings, a bit of crafts, a bit of education (writing, reading, drawing), housework (I'm glad to say that even though I'm not up to date with 100% of the housework, I don't feel overwhelmed a bit & rather feel totally relaxed about it) ...
... and in the corner of my mind, boxes & packing are appearing ... in less than a year we'll be moving away again ... and boy when I start thinking about making boxes with all our stuff again (and all the mess that comes with it, and all the "not-really-living-normally-for-a-GOOD-couple-of-months" kind of life), a sudden headache appears ... don't know why ... LOL
Better go, it's lunchtime over here & the boys (and I) are hungry.
OXOXOXO

  3. Oh Sonia, I love the wrist warmers they are so stunning. I know that they would fly out of your etsy store, I really like the colour.

I love reading about you enjoying time with your boys before school starts again. I too am loving the time with mine, and actually dred school starting as Genevieve starts big school and I will miss her so much. So days together, playing and having lunch together are so precious.

The weather is "pants" (not good) here to, hot but rainy. It does feel like the summer is over. But autumn is my favourite season so I look forward to the cold coming (weird).

I cant wait for my package, actually get butterflies thinking about it, lol.

Thank you for being so wonderful. I truly mean it, much love, Clare

  4. Hello, gosh I'm so not into an autumn mood yet! Yet again summer (well August anyway) has been awful and I'm craving some sun so I can sunbathe before we go back to school (11 days).
I love the Playmobil stuff, so many sets to collect, pity it's so expensive though.
Are you moving back to your home area?
