Autumn ? Summer ?

I went to bed yesterday at 12.30am & I remember I went to the toilet in the middle of the night. (super crunchy detail of my life, I know ...) Then at 06am a quickly arriving storm woke me up. The weather was grey & windy most of the day, very changing. Because of a cooking disaster, I spent most of the morning in the kitchen, and the boys were very excited. (but, uh, the wrong way !) I was as excited as them, by the end. I washed the dishes I don't know how many times today & I'm not really happy about that. I would have prefered doing something else, playing with the boys (or doing an crafty activity with them) or doing something crafty for me or my little shop, or simply getting things (that need getting tidied up) tidied up. The weather was stormy & wet all day & I think it got us all on our nerves. After lunch, I decided to take them immediately outside, so we went to the mall. It was very lightly raining at that time. We went back home, with a new book, OK I admitt, but an important one : You Can Save The Planet , by Jacquie Wines. I'm myself very interested (though I've always been, more or less, but as I've decided to put my thoughts into action, I'm more than ever) & I think I may learn some interesting things in that book. (though probably not very joyful) So ... We read the first 5 points outloud (there are 101) & stopped at the laundry chapter. And as I had a load to do, I took the opportunity to make the boys help & see what I usually do away from their eyes (because they usually play in another room when I do that). So they got to see that I used the balls I bought last month (during our vacations) -it's been the 3rd time already- and that I use less laundry detergent than before, as well as less softener. It didn't last long, but - they were interested ! LOL I have to point that they're both doing w-o-n-d-e-r-f-u-l-l-y with the water pitcher & cider bowls ! They're cautious (ahem, most of the time) and it's working good. I am VERY happy about that !U helping himselfI caught VERY few minutes for me today, but the ones I got, I used them to look at my recently acquired Autumn In The Country Gooseberry Patch book. Aaaaah ... how could I not feel inspired by all those yummy recipes & all those whimsical illustrations ???! Honestly, I'm in love ! I'd say that summer isn't really summer around Paris. In the south, it's very sunny & very warm 95% of the summer days. In Paris, I'd say it's the opposite. Oh well. A day like today totally makes me craving autumn like crazy. In the book, my eyes stopped on one recipe ... mmmm ...Ah ah ... me, muffin maniac !
Around 05pm, another storm showed. Again I had to unplug everything I could unplug, and I was right as it was much closer than the one of the morning. I tried to show the boys the beauty of the natural elements (and how to notice a storm is around the corner) & did my best to make them play quiet games. They were soooo excited all day long ... phew, I'm worn out, totally on my knees. By 07.30pm, the skies were getting clear again, hopefully, and both the clouds & sky were so bright that I couldn't not take a pic ... and I'll leave you today with this ... have a great end of the week ! HUGS OXOXAnd like the song says ...
Behind the clouds .... the sun is shi-i-ining ... (OK OK I know I can't sing ! LOL)
