08-08-08

Yeah, that'll happen once only ... that date, I mean. 08-08-08. I'm not superstitious at all, so it doesn't matter to me, just wanted to remind everyone.
This morning as I was washing the dishes I thought that the dishes were looking good enough for a little shot. (NO I'm not bored to the point of taking my dishes in photo ! LOL) What do you think ?Still homemaking speaking, I bought this afternoon a big Savon De Marseille, and took a photo along with the two brushes (in natural fibers, and that I bought last month, while on vacation, in an health store) to use with the soap, to wash the dishes. I still have liquid detergent to wash the dishes, so as soon as it'll be over, I'll give it a try. And will let you know how hard or how easy or how tricky it is. LOL
Next month my two magazines subscriptions will end. I currently get Country Living (British version please) & Victoria magazine. I came to the conclusion that I will renew CL (it's been years & years now that I get it at home, hopefully I can get it in France, by mail) but I will give up Victoria mag. It's not what it used to be, and I don't want to waste paper/trees for something I am not 100% happy with.
Yesterday I treated myself a bit by getting me the "Pro" version for my Flickr. I probably have done this way before. Now, I'll be free to add as many photos as I want, woohoo ! And I got 3 extra months for free & 10 free Moo cards ! Can't wait to get it & see the quality. I read many times testimonials from people being very happy with them, so I may order more in the future. I'll see.
Tomorrow we'll go to Paris to buy presents for my little treasure's bday (U) who'll be turning FOUR (yikes) on the 25th of this current month. (PS : where did the time go ?!) We'll also go to a boutique that sells food from the US & Canada (it's named Thanksgiving, and I already talked about it in the past, I know), where we'll buy our favorite maple syrup, the chocolate chips I use for baking muffins, a can of clam showder (I know, it' better to eat one homemade but I don't want to cook seafood ... eek), and P wants to buy "French's mustard" (we tried it in the 50's style dinner restaurant we go in Disneyland). We'll eat at Exki (as usual now, when we go to Paris - http://www.exki.com ) & then the day will be filled by other little things.
I bought strawberries & raspberries today (oh my ... yum yum), we'll eat most of them with our favorite yogurts, and if there will be any left, I may use them to bake a small batch of ... mmm ... mmmmmuffins ! LOL
Time to give the boys a shower. And me too. Gotta go then.
Oh, I was forgetting ... I haven't forgotten about the giveaway ! I'll either host it for the 100th post (this is my 95th I guess) or at another moment, I'll see ... but it's definitely in a corner of my mind. Little by little I'm building the little loot. I will maybe make two loots for two winners, I don't know. I'll see. (OK, I'm repeating, it's age !) LOL
Have a great weekend everyone !! Big hugs OXOXO

PS : maybe you've noticed that I'm rather cheerful these days, specially after what I had lived the week before we came home. Well, apparently things are getting MUCH better & are evolving in a good way. So, I'm not heavyhearted anymore ... just cautious & with a heart full of hope. :)

  1. Good Evening Sonia, ooh I wish I were going shopping in Paris tomorrow with you, and it sounds like you know all the good shops to go to.

My youngest turned 4 in March and it is strange how quickly the time flies, she's still my baby, I guess she always will be. I hope you get him some great presents tomorrow.

I love the photo of your dishes and I want your blue glasses, so vintage looking.

Gosh 100 posts is an achievement. Do you find bloging good for your soul? I love focusing on the positive aspects in our busy lives. And I think its good for our families who live far away to see what we get up to.

Thanks for reminding me about the free moo cards I had completely forgotten.

You do sound happy hon, and its catching, I love reading your posts. Have fun tomorrow, much love, your friend ClareX
