Time's been flying & there's only a week vacation left. Now it will feel almost like a countdown. Still things to do & place to go before we'll leave on Saturday evening. As much as I'm enjoying my vacations, I'm almost longing to go back home. See what I mean ? I'm not 100% at MY place, doing MY things whenever I want to do them. I'm a bit saddenned to realize that the next time we'll come here on vacations will not be before February or March or April 2009. That seems so far away. Nine months or so, wow. :( My parents will visit us at the end of September & my inlaws at the beginning of October, then my parents will probably come right before Xmas vacations & my inlaws' right after them.
Chris & I have been talking about our next move a lot, and our new life there. We moved several times, and changed little or big things in our lives during each of them, but this move will probably make appear most important changes in our lives, such as NOT buying a car. We want to rent an appartment right in the heart of the town where Chris will be working, Montpellier. (which is the biggest town in the region, around 250 000 inhabitants) There are so many things there, specially schools, high schools, colleges, everything. Being there, so INSIDE it will be SO practical. Big library, big swimming pool, everything we'll be needing. So this will be our most important move. July or August 2009. Seems so far & so close at the same time. Paris, Chessy, Disney ... only one year to take advantage of all that before we'll move.
Yesterday I went to the beach with Chris only, and we did actually swam. I probably hadn't swum for two years, at least. The water was rather cold, which is unusual, but it's before the wind's been blowing from the north for many many days now, and makes the water cold. Chris & I've been jogging & trying to compensate all the good food we've been eating here. We'll be back on track soon, no doubt about it. As soon as we'll be back in Chessy, it will be different, I know.
I know I haven't visited you much (or not at all) during my vacations, and apologize about that. I'll be back on track once I'll return of course. In the meantime, let me share some more photos from last week. Our vacations in the center of France (three days, last week) were bliss, specially for the eyes & soul, and we're all very happy about that. We saw tons of wildflowers, tons of butterflies, lots of rivers & bridges, ate wild raspberries.

I'll try to make one last stop next Friday. Have a great weekend & week next week !! Big hugs to all & thanks sooooooo much for visiting !! Love you ! XOXOXOXOX

Hello Sonia, what lovely photos. I hope you enjoy your last week fully & that you keep taking photos. I had no idea about your next move, it's a big project. I guess you'll rent cars to go to the beach & to see your family.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs
totally stunning. All of it.
ReplyDeletehello Sonia...my sweet friend. :) Forgive me for being so absent, though I think of you! and as I knew you were so wonderfully occupied with your sweet loved ones these weeks away, I knew you would not miss me overmuch. ;) he he and I was able to take some offline time which was so very needed. I am so happy that you've had such a grand time, and I do know you will love coming home as you mentioned. Your photos are...well, I really can't think of what to say...they are so wonderful, I think they should be in a book! Of course though, my favorite one was you in the auto mirror. :) Okay, I just wanted you to know that I've made a little change and will be posting at my homemaking blog now instead of the other one. [http://thecountryhomemaker.blogspot.com/] I will see you there when you are home and settled. Love you! xoxo
