... buntings again, but for me, this time ! (for a change, I'm making something for me !) I used remnants of an old denim jacket of Chris, and two other bought floral & polka dot fabrics. Now, I REALLY wonder (yeah, frankly ... I REALLY DO !) why I never made them before !!!! I love buntings & they add such a festive & cheerful note to any room. I made of for my computer corner & one for our bedroom.
But, I know I will bring them (and another one if I have the time to make another one before we leave) on vacation, at our parents'. My mom is an avid & talented sewer, and yet, that's the kind of things she wouldn't even think about making. Come on, they're so easy & rather quick to make ! I should have had lots everywhere in my bedroom when I was a little girl & then when I was a teenager. But nope. Oh well. 
Better count my blessings & cheer myself up right now, so ... on a lighter note, I'm going to let you know that I have decided to host a giveway soon. When ? I still don' know, but hopefully before the end of June. What will be given away ? A mix of this & that, some handmade things & some other not. I hope many persons will participate, but for now, it's just an idea, an idea that I hope everyone is finding pleasant. I will announce anything here, so if you're interested, watch that space ! I'll leave you with two pics of U, playing/painting/drawing with PSP (Paint Shop Pro), yesterday evening. Both U & P loves to draw on the computer.

Am not going anywhere again today & have to kick my own bu** to have lots of crafty things done this morning. Tomorrow will be SUPER busy (P's bday celebration, among other things, of course). Yesterday afternoon/evening it rained ... it rained so much !! And it was so chill ! The weather is predicted to get better & it's supposed to be so warm on Sunday that it'll turn into stormy weather. Nice ! *Ü*
back again. Am in the middle of changing sheets and the never ending laundry! It's my Crazy Friday routine, to try and keep laundry to an absolute minimum over the weekend. :O)

ooh, I've never seen a wacom pen tablet. I keep saying to Bill that I really need one, as I'm still drawing with my mouse. Which is ok, but I'd like to have more freedom when I draw, which I'm sure a pen would give me.

ReplyDeleteLOVE the buntings! Jillian and I just made some paper buntings yesterday and I didn't even think about sewing and fabric. VERY cool use of the denim jacket and I love how the denim looks with the fabric. Nice job! Such a cute look, too ... you're right, everyone should have a bunting :-)

I have a wacom tablet too, and the children adore using it. (okay so they are better at using photo shop than I am.... *hangs head in shame*)
The giveaway sounds great! I used to do it on my old blog, and loved doing it. When life is settled a bit more in Autumn I might do it again myself :)
I'd have to admit that I will not participate in yours, I'd feel awful as I already have such amazing Sonia Creations in my home :)

Hi Sonia! Your buntings are very festive and good idea to make them out of fabrics from jeans, etc..., It would be nice to make out of old baby clothes or things that might have special meaning to you. :) How fun that the boys get to use the drawing tablet! Happy Birthday to P! (((Hugz)))
