Yesterday afternoon, after picking P at school, when the shutters were still closed, U had a funny moment playing with light. Yes, light, going through the shutters. There was a bright cercle of light on the brown carpet ...

I love it when my boys notice these very simple & natural things.
Yesterday I managed to sew two cards to send to friends. (still have to write them this morning & I hope to send them this afternoon)

And I wanted to show you two (of the four that I want to make) tissue holders I sewed a part of a gift for P & U teachers.

Finally I wanted to show you two gorgeously retro looking Gocco prints I bought last week & received yesterday, they were made by Kayanna @
JUNECRAFT . Please go check her shop, I'm sure you won't leave without something ! (sorry for the poor photo that doesn't do justice to them !)

Tomorrow we'll probably go to Paris, as it'll be the last time before we come back from vacation in August. Wishing you all a great end of the week, and a delightful weekend ahead.
neat that your boys noticed the light. It is the simple things in life.
ReplyDeleteHi Sonia! What lovely teacher gifts! I'm sure they appreciated something handmade and also no apples! Teachers get too many apple-themed gifts! ;)
ReplyDeleteI remember having such fun with flashlights as a child and my kids did, too. Yes, simple things like water, bubbles, chalk, crayons, playdoh! Good for the imagination! Enjoy the weekend! (((Hugz)))

ReplyDeleteI love the picture of the goodies you made!! I love gifts like that as a teacher!!
Have a wonderful trip to Paris!!! ((BIG HUGS))!!
I love it when our boys see things like that...it really is fascinating :) Lovely teacher gifts~ we did plants this year and they were well received too.

Thanks for the comment~ we're all doing well here but busy although I think we've finally managed to figure out a good schedule for our summer work/play which helps a lot.
Lots of love...have a wonderful weekend! xoxo
awesome gifts for the teachers. I want one! lol They are simply adorable. How cute about the light shining through the shutters. So sweet.
ReplyDeleteGoing to check out the Etsy link. :D Have a great weekend!
*hugs*
Oh such sweetness! Playing with light (and shadows!) is so much fun! I remember Luka was afraid when he discovered the great big shadows. It was so cute *heart*
ReplyDeleteThe tissue holders are so retro and fun fun fun! Brilliantly made, I am sure the teachers will love it! Is it the norm to make teachers gifts/give gifts at the end of a year in France?? (goodness, I hope not, I will have made a huge mistake other wise :(
Hoping you are having a lovely weekend!
We had a bbq at friends yesterday and did not get home until midnight, and today we are going to the school fete, and promised to be late too (yawn)
Sending love ! Annaxxx
