You all must think I'm super fat with all the muffin recipes & food talks, and all the pics I'm showing. I'm not the skinny type anyway, but I'm not that fat. I have some kilos to loose, that's OK, and I hope to drop some this summer (better kick my own a**, ahem, to begin) But, anyway, that's not the point. I meant to show you today ... photos of ... macarons from Ladurée. Right, hopefully these are small & I think not a million calories per macaron. The box in which they were was absolutely gorgeous. (designed by Tricia Guild - I'm not a fan of her work, but this box is pretty, really)
And just to prove you that in our family, we teach our children to appreciate the finest (and French) food ... here is a pic of P enjoying his chocolate macaron ! (he had two, and U had one pistachio & one raspberry)

ooh those look delicious. You'll probably be very surprised and shocked, but I have never had a macaroon. *blush* lol The purple one looks especially tasty and not to mention the chocolate one too :D

ReplyDeleteI love the Laduree box, it's so pretty. I've always been a big fan of Tricia Guild, I think she has a wonderful eye for colour. She would definitely approve of the colours of the macaroons!
I love Brie too. Over here lots of places do baguettes or paninis with melted Brie and bacon, yum!

Oh macaroons from Laduree, how unfair to show us that. I could still get some in New York if I wanted but it's hopeless here. I never bought any but it was an open option which is always nice. I wouldn't mind to try one of each color/flavor :)
