1st Cookbook & 2nd Robot

Hello everyone ! Thanks so much for the sweet robot love :) That was so cute ! Believe me or not, I managed to sew U's before the end of the day yesterday ! Chris was amazed, of course kids are hardly amazed because they think you must have some kind of magical powers (well, mothers probably do have some ! LOL) So here are the pics of the evolution :Of course I had to adapt some little parts like the inexistence of arms ... eheh. He liked it very much too !
The other day, while walking in the book area of a shop nearby, my eyes stopped on a picture I knew well ... it was my very first cookbook that was published again ! I loved that book, it was Usborne First Cookbook, and at the time (I was a little girl) I already loved the illustrations, by Stephen Cartwright . (the main illustrator of all Usborne books) The format had changed (I prefer mine, it was more practical, with spirals) Anyway, I was kind of happily surprised to find this book back on bookstore shelves !
The sun is shining, I have the Ipod playing The Golden Age of Hollywood musicals, I don't have anywhere to go today, and lots to do at home, so it's a good day all in all. Unfortunately U has been feverish the last two evenings, then afternoons, and spec. last nigth, but in the morning he isn't anymore & doesn't have anything more than that. With the help of paracetamol, we'll wait & see. The same thing happened 2 or 3 times & when I went to see the doctor, she told me everything was OK. And then it stopped by itself. Weirdo. :( Oh well.
I'll leave you with a pic of mine, just taken with the webcam. Not sure this is going to lighten your day or cheer you up, LOL, but well, I'm all turquoise today (from top to toe) & I feel like summer. Have a great day everyone !

  1. Oh I love your turquoise look, how special to make things to the kids from their graphics. It's so cute. I hope your day is going well, thanks so much for stopping by. Big hugs Sis

  2. Hi Sonia! You look very chic in your turquoise (that seems like a French word) and big hoop earrings. Hmmm... I wonder if there would be a market (in Etsy) for you to make felt creations of what other people's children draw? You could show the example of what you've made for P & U and say that you'll make their children's drawings come to life, too. :) (((Hugz)))
