This morning at 09 we went to visit an exhibition at the boys' school, where all the creations they worked on through the year had been displayed. It was so cute to see them all at once, and they were very proud !
But maybe should I show you pics taken yesterday afternoon, after school.

So ... let's go back to today ... LOL After the school exhibition, we took the express train (hence the tchoo-tchoo title) to go to Paris.
We went to Le Bon Marché & at the Grande Epicerie du Bon Marché, where we bought pita breads from Cyprus, UK crisps (chesse+onion & salt+vinegar), wheat sprouted seeds. Then we went to Exki , a restaurant we discovered when we went to Brussels last November. We had discovered at the time that there was one of these restaurants in France, and of course it had to be in Paris. It's a lovely & simple place, very family friendly (which is very important for a restaurant when you have a child or children !) & they make very tasteful & original (but not too much) food. There are lots of meals for vegetarians, which suit us nicely. We are not vegetarian, but half-vegetarian, if I may say so. We eat red meat probably once a month, fish probably once a week, eggs once a week, and most of the time we eat what I call white meat. But anyway, I'm really digressing. Here are some pics from there.

I'm totally in love with this beehive lamp shade ... It's so beautiful ! Then we went to Bouchara where I bought these (and got an unexpected 25% off).
Then we went buying P's birthday gifts (he'll turn 6 on June 24th - in a month from now ... eeeeek ! where does time go ??!) He chose lots of Brio trains & accessories. And finally, before taking the express train, we went to buy the yummy cookies we're used to buy. And look at the beautiful place they're sold !!!
Well, that's all for today. We went back home & we're all off to have a shower. I do have a link to share, something I found at the toy store ... Le Toy Van.I hope you all are having a delightful weekend.

Le Toy Van available in the US at Landbridge Toys
ReplyDeleteWell, Michael, thanks for letting my American visitors where to find them in the US ! :)
ReplyDeletehappy Sunday! I had no time to make any visits yesterday, just shopping, cooking, cleaning, washing, ironing...well, you know EXACTLY the kind of day I mean!
ReplyDeleteFab photos. ooh, UK crips! Were they Walkers by any chance? Yum, I love those crisps. Actually, here's some irony for you. For Bill's lunches, I've been adding a bag of crisps in the bag, little teddy bear shaped ones called Pomme Bear. Do you know them? (I've probably spelt the 'pomme' bit incorrectly!)
the school photos are lovely too. Gosh, another couple of years and humbug will be going to school, and I'll be the proud Mummy showing photos of her work! I would say 'can't wait', but I can, I'm enjoying her so much now, but I know I'll enjoy her even more as she grows up. Children really are such a gift. :O)
Time to shower. I could stand outside for that, as it's raining, but I'll use the one in the shower room instead! ;o)
have a lovely day x
It's official.... I am moving over to where you are!!
ReplyDeleteYou are living the most colourful life ever... :)
Hugs x
