Over. The little surgery is over now. Phew. But the effects of the anaesthesia remained for a couple of hours, paralyzing half of my mouth, which was not pleasant. But useful, I guess, as now the effects have gone, I can feel a little pain. I have medecines to take for almost a week. I can see from here that I'll be under a soup & youghurt diet for a good couple of days ... I have an appointment next Tuesday to check if that's OK. I won't enter into details of the surgery, but HOPEFULLY they had put something on my eyes so that I didn't see anything. Can you imagine having your gum cut (snap snap) & then your bone pierced, with a small drill, and then a screw ... well ... screwed ! And then, a little of sewing to close the gum & voilà ! OMG. Once I came home (hopefully Chris had taken his morning off to go grab the boys at school in case I would be late) I felt like I had been beaten ! Not very pleasant feeling I tell you ! Anyway. That's over & that's fine. Thanks for much for caring, my friends, that feels good, very good.
Sooo ... other than that, my sweet hubby also went purchasing our new printer, a Canon, for the record. A black printer. (thanks honey, the ever falling dust won't be visible on a shiny black finish ... ahem ! - will have to make a cover for this !)
Tomorrow, it's Chris' turn to go to the doctor's ... he's getting veins sclerotization, at an angiologist's. (is that the right word, I wonder) Fun week at the doctors' right ?
I will probably make protected pages to show you pics of my little ones. It's been ages since any of you saw their faces ! This is going to change !

I do hope you are feeling fine now, and not in too much pain. I had a similar surgery when I was younger, and it isn't pleasant at all! Your new printer looks lovely! How funny, as we also bought a new one this week! :)

Hi Sonia! I do hope you are feeling better from your surgery. I saw the word screw and I felt your pain! And Im glad to hear that the little guy is feeling better. I hate it when any of my kids dont feel well. I am a firm believer that hugs make them feel better! That printer looks so sharp! But you are right...dust will be a problem for it. But dust is a problem for everything! hehe!I have a cute little black wooden side table by one of my windows and one day Gavin(my 2 year old) was drawing in the dust on it! lol! Yea, it was time to dust the furniture. Have a wonderful weekend! Lotsa hugs!! P.s. did u get my email? Sometimes my email acts screwy. :)
ReplyDeleteYikes Sonia, I don't envy you the dental surgery! I'm sure you must have said at some time why you had to have all that done but I don't remember the reason. You must be so relieved to have it done with and I hope you're able to manage the pain ok.

ReplyDeletePoor U...glad is wasn't a terrible virus and after this past year I'm not surprised by these weird viruses anymore!! C had one two weeks ago that was just severe stomach cramping (off and on) for two whole days, then after the other symptoms had gone, he had a moderate fever for 12 hours! Crazy!!
Love the printer but yes, black....a dust haven!

Hi Sonia! Glad the dental surgery is behind you. It definitely does't sound like a pleasant experience! I hope you'll treat yourself with something soft and yummy like ice cream or frozen yogurt. :) Your printer looks very shiny and pretty! Dust is always such a problem! Where does it all come from?
