Double Post Friday

{This is the 2nd entry today -I know, again- so scroll down to read the 1st one if you haven't yet, thanks !}
Soooo ... it's now 04.20pm as I'm typing & a dad (a friend of ours) who went to circus with the school, phoned me 10 mn ago to let me know that they would be late & will be here around 5pm. That gives me a little more time to finish what I'm doing, great !
I got really lots of the things on my 3 lists done ! So happy about that. Shopping (few, but good & bargain), having lunch outside (incl. raspberry/white choc cheesecake & latte at Starbucks), pampered myself a bit at home, saved on the external hard drive everything I needed to save (phew, one good thing), got lots of little things done, including reorganizing the shelves next to the computer table, which from now on, welcomes a big part of my fabrics. (just a small part shown above)

Still inspired by The Creative Family book, I have set up a long clotheline with a rope, and have displayed some of my little creations, and in other places of the living room, the boys' artworks & photos are pinned to the clotheline. I love that !

I managed to sew a card for a child's birthday. Simple but pretty. (my point of view !)
Didn't shop for me only, found two teeshirts for the boys at H&M that were quite a bargain & that will be used at pyjama tops. Bought other things to send to friends, & a book about chemistry (for his bday) (yes, chemistry, at 6)
OK, gotta go, time is flying & have to get some things done before they arrive. Thanks for reading, everyone, it's much appreciated !! Have a great weekend !

  1. I love days like that, when I can do nice things but still get tons of 'want to/must do' things done too. :O)
    I treated myself to one of the luxury bouquets of flowers this morning in the supermarket (Bill had given me some Sadie money, though most of it went on a tiny person who really deserved to be spoilt as much as mama!), it's made up of roses and orange/red gerbera. So pretty. I've taken a photo - of course!!!!

    Right now the house is peaceful. Bill has gone to visit his mum, the shopping has been put away, flowers arranged, small child is sleeping, cat is curled up on the chair in the Laura Ashley room and all is well with the world!

    Hope you have had a nice start to today, you're probably cooking or eating lunch as I type this. Enjoy the weekend :O) x
