The weather was supposed to be rainy & stormy today. But this is the sky we had this morning ...
So ... today started on a creative note, as Chris played with the boys while I came back to bed, after breakfast, with craft books, Amanda's book (The Creative Family) & crafts to do. Total bliss, I tell you. I love my children, but from time to time, it's good to be at least a room away from them. LOL
I am having TONS & TONS of fun making these little stuffed strawberries ! I still don't know what I will use them for, BUT it doesn't take the fun away from me !!! ahah ! After that, I had prepared a little crafty activity for the boys, which was pizza themed. A pizza collage. I had cut the tomatoe sauce, green peperonis, black olives, slices of sausages, bits of onions, and grated cheese !! The cute idea was inspired by my dear friend Nikki. Thanks Nikki for the idea !

What fun they had !!! I had used (clean) cardboard plates for the dough part & they glued & glued their bits on it. And guess what we ALL prepared for lunch ... PIZZA of course !

It was REALLY the yummiest pizza we ever cooked at home ! We used a ready made (non organic) pizza dough, ready made tomatoe sauce (cooked with herbs), organic gorgonzola, organic grated swiss cheese, non organic parmesan, organic dried oregano. That was very very very good indeed !!
Ahem, speaking of cooking ... we just had a snack (just like I needed this to loose weight !) ... I had bought (non organic, sigh) raspberries two days ago, to make raspberry muffins. I adapted two recipes & added my personal touch by adding white chocolate chips. Oh my word, these were super yummilicious & Chris told me that they couldn't be more perfect. Oh the compliment !
The day is not over, it's 04.30pm, and I really wouldn't like this day to end, it's been a peaceful, creative, yummy, fun day with my loved ones ! I hope you had a super great weekend too !! I'll be translating the recipe ASAP because it was really THAT good.

Hi Sonia! Caught up with several posts! So many lovely photos to see. I enjoyed seeing the classroom with all their colorful creations on display! What a cute idea to have a pizza themed day- both crafty and real! Mmm! To the raspberry muffins and adding white chocolate is always a good touch! (((Hugz)))

I love hearing about the restaraunts you go to in Paris! It sounds fabulous! Someday ;) Lotsa hugs!!
ReplyDeleteSonia! Alone time with craft books are heavenly!
ReplyDeleteMind you, has not yet happened to me in 12 years :)
My kids would come and join me :) *laughs*
The paper pizza's look like great fun too! Although I can only imagine the mess my five kids would made with that *eeks*
Your pizza looks heavenly!! May I ask you where you buy the ready-made pizza dough? And what would it be called in French? I would be ever so interested in making that for my family. Thank you for sharing!
Sorry for being slow again by the way. I have slept most of the weekend away, trying to get over this terrible flu/chest infection. I am starting to think it is funny how I am falling apart :) Must be my young age :)
Better run, and face lunch time! Have a lovely day and please expect an email soon soon!

ReplyDeletemust be quick, trying to do about three million things at once. Our sky is the total opposite to yours, and it's very rainy and very, VERY windy. Summer comes to England! ha ha ha.
Have a lovely Monday :O)
